Shameful Secrets Of The 80s

Sunday, 10th May 2009 (First broadcast 2005)
9pm to 10:30pm
Sky3

It's a run out for another one of those talking head nostalgia shows about how good / bad / whacky / indifferent / badly dressed / whatever a previous decade might or might not have been.

Well there are two things that set this one off as being a cut above the usual fare for this genre. One, all of the talking heads were most likely actually there in some form in the 80s, and are not reading from a preprepared script offered up by some production assistant. And two, the programme is presented by Sir Alan Sugar, who in his closing message differentiates between his 80s money grabbing experience and now by announcing that his fee for the show is going to go Great Ormond Street Hospital. Aww, bless...
